This Deanery event took place at St Teresa of the Child Jesus Parish, Oloikirikirai , on the 12th of July, 2025.
His Grace, Rev Fr John Oballa Owaa, presided over the annual event where he delivered a powerful message to men in his homily, emphasizing that God often allows us to go through trials so that we may appreciate the joy of future victory. “When we remain faithful in the midst of hardship, our testimony becomes a source of hope for others,” he said. “They will see what God has done for us and be encouraged that He can do the same for them.”
He urged Catholic men to shift their focus from temporary concerns to eternal values. “Let us live our faith with the hope of surrendering completely into God's hands. Ask Jesus to deepen your faith, strengthen your trust, and heal the wounds and fears that weigh you down,” Bishop Oballa encouraged.
Challenging the men to align their will with God’s will, the Bishop reminded them that life’s storms are not enemies but opportunities for spiritual growth. “In the face of trials, it is natural to feel afraid or abandoned. But these are moments calling us into deeper trust and unwavering faith.”
Anchored in the theme “Men Living Their Faith in Hope,” the Bishop called on all Catholic men to renew their baptismal commitment and reignite their mission to proclaim the Gospel of hope—starting with their families, within the Church, and extending to the wider society.
