This event took place on 25th of May, 2024, where catholic men were called upon to take up their fatherly role and spearhead mentorship in their families, the Church, and society.
During their annual Deanery Mass for Ngong Deanery at St. Annes, Kibiko, Very Rev. John Ntiseyia, the Vicar General, presided over the mass.
Fr. Boniface Mukwe, the Diocesan Catholic Men Association Chaplain, addressed the men during his homily, calling them to be educators of faith and to guide their families in living the Gospel values in words and deeds. He encouraged them to be mentors, focused on their spiritual and social life, and sources of hope and joy in their families and society. Fr. Mukwe also urged the men to value education, be it spiritual or economic.
Many men are grappling with diverse challenges that have affected families, and the Diocesan Chaplain asked them to take the year of Catechesis as a moment of deepening their faith, witness, and spreading it starting from home. It is a good thing to unite together as men in this Deanery celebrating as men, building unity in the various roles they undertake in the family, Church, and society.
