The weather was cool and mass started at 10.00am and ended at around 2.30pm, after commemorative trees were planted and The late Fr. Hannon's grave blessed by the bishop.
It was not only commissioning day, but also the family day(St.Barnabas day) being celebrated, and a week early.
The CWA ladies and CMA men were donned in their official uniforms to welcome the bishop and animate mass.Thirteen(13) men were commissioned that day.
Other ceremonies that took place included several young men and women receiving the sacrament of confirmation.
After mass all Christians enjoyed a sumptuous meal together with the Bishop.
The choir sang magnificently.
